This is the horrifying moment a man appears in the middle of a dark road before tiring to get into a family’s car.
Jonathan Tsai, his wife and their two young children were traveling on Interstate 880 in Oakland, California, when the nearly naked stranger ran toward their car Monday evening, as reported by KTVU.
Tsai’s wife, who was behind the wheel, stopped the car when she noticed the vehicles in front swerve.
That’s when the strange man, wearing only a pair of briefs, rushed up to their car and tried to open the passenger door.
When Tsai’s wife started driving again, the man was reportedly hanging on the car door.

“I didn’t know if he was holding a gun and pointing at us like walking slowly and then running. I’m terrified,” Tsai told KTVU.
“He had a frown on his face, as if he wanted to harm us,” Tsai added.
Tsai said he is traumatized by the eight-second incident and is taking time off from his job as a software engineer to recover.
He explained that he and his family travel weekly on Interstate 880 from Fremont to San Francisco, but the incident caused them to change their routine.

Tsai, a Bay Area native, said it’s the first time he’s questioned whether he wants to live in California.
California Highway Patrol said they recovered a stolen vehicle in the area shortly after the incident.
The suspect in that case apparently jumped on the hood of the car, shattered the windshield and carjacked it after the driver got out.
That driver was safely picked up by his girlfriend, who drove in another car behind him.
The police are still looking for the suspect.
CHP Officer Adib Zeid said officers followed the man for a while before losing sight of him.
CHP added that they have yet to confirm that the same man is responsible for both incidents.
