Following a police investigation, Mukori, of Elswick Grove, Kingstanding, admitted 16 sexual assaults against 12 women. He was jailed for four and a half years, with a four-year extended licence, at Birmingham Crown Court.
The attacks started with a single incident in Derbyshire, with the next 11 taking place in Birmingham City Center and Selly Oak.

Years later he developed a substance with the appearance of semen to spray on women in student areas of Birmingham. For a time he would “carefully” select and monitor his victims, waiting half an hour outside a Sainsbury’s store.
The victims, most of them university students, were then sprayed from behind with Arab Gu.
After several reports to the police, CCTV footage was found and shared on the social media of the force with an urgent call to track down Mukori. But it was then the suspect himself who called 101 with information.
In the audio of the call, Mukori can be heard saying, “I am only calling regarding a case reference I saw online on a Facebook post. That image on that case that I saw is me and it was sent to me by someone and yeah I just wanted to know what this is about because it’s a pretty serious allegation that I saw there.
“And when it comes to an incident between me and a woman, that I also called and spoke to a police officer at the scene.”
Police then began gathering evidence against Mukori, taking his DNA and searching it through a national database. The results showed a similarity to the first assault years earlier in Derbyshire.

Detective Constable Suzanna Doidge, who led the investigation, said: ‘We will not tolerate this behaviour.
“We put that in the media and he called the police himself, said it was him and demanded it be taken down.
“Two managers at his work, where he was a caregiver, also called to identify him.
“These sex offenses targeted young women selected by Mukori based on their appearance and clothing, some of whom were repeatedly targeted. He was careful, methodical and planned.’
“His offense spans over seven years and while there seems to be a gap in his offense, I think there may be other victims who have not come forward.
“This is such an unusual case. The collective harassment of these female students and repeated victimization are alarming.
“We have an offender who has repeatedly engaged in an illicit pattern of behavior over the course of seven years, who, while released on bail by police, was re-arrested and found in possession of equipment to help him continue his crimes. to make. ‘
West Midlands Police urged anyone believed to be a victim of Mukori’s offense to come forward.
“We are encouraging even more victims to come forward by contacting us through a dedicated online portal set up specifically for this case,” DC Doidge added.
