Moment a screaming tourist couple begs a cruise ship captain to wait as grinning fellow passengers film them from the departing ship in Italy

This is when a tourist couple was filmed yelling and begging for a cruise ship captain to wait for them as fellow passengers watched on with a chuckle.
Images uploaded to TikTok show two travelers in the port of Bari in southeastern Italy on August 15, where the MSC Splendida was due to depart.
The pair missed their scheduled departure time and when they arrived at quay 11, the gangway of the nearly 300-meter-long ship had already been removed.
The man was heard shouting and pleading repeatedly, “Is the captain there, please?” He later added, “Captain, wait for us, please. You can if you want.’
One of the more than 4,000 passengers on board filmed the scene and could be heard chuckling in the background at the pair’s persistence.

The woman who was filming said to another passenger, ‘What is he saying? What does it mean? Oh, maybe he missed the cruise,” adding that she thinks the couple were late for departure.
Ugo Patroni Griffi, chairman of the Port System Authority of the Southern Adriatic, told the Italian newspaper RepublicThey tried to ask the ship to turn around or at least stop operations.
“Obviously it’s impossible for cruise ships that have limited times and are also very expensive operations.”
Other comments on the video included one user saying, “I understand the fault is with the gentleman, unfortunately if you do it once everyone demands it.
“The cruise has schedules and they must be respected. But guys, let’s put ourselves in their shoes! We would all have been desperate!
