A ‘p***ed off’ Ricky Stuart was caught berating a cameraman on live TV before delivering an extraordinary press conference following Canberra’s 29-18 loss to Brisbane on Saturday night.
Three tries for Broncos winger Selwyn Cobbo and another silky smooth performance from Reece Walsh helped their side clinch the NRL minor premiership, now top of the ladder and able to seal that position with a win against Melbourne on Thursday night.
Stuart was seething at times during the game and you could see him telling a cameraman to fuck off after a series of controversial phone calls in the second half.
At the post-match press conference, Stuart took aim at referee Adam Gee and the bunker for a number of controversial calls, including the decision to sin Jordan Rapana for an attempted trip on Cobbo when he scored to put them 20-18 ahead in the match. 62nd minute.
In another controversial call, Hudson Young was penalized for an obstruction after the Raiders collected the ball from a Brisbane dropout looking for an equalizer, with the second rower making minimal contact with Cobbo as he lunged for the ball.

“There’s nothing I can do, you just have to deal with it.
“(Referee boss) Jarrod Maxwell is a very good operator … I think some areas of Jarrod’s power have been taken away because they are not improving.
“It happens every match with these escorts, (but) I just don’t understand why it was us… well, I do understand, but that’s probably the point I can’t talk about.”
Stuart, whose Raiders could still miss the finals if they don’t beat Cronulla away from home next weekend, was less than impressed when asked how his team managed to put the loss behind them.
“Don’t ask me questions I can’t answer,” he said.

The extra player after Rapana’s sin binning helped Cobbo find his third try of the night and cleared the Broncos 24-18 before Walsh scored a field goal before cutting through the Raiders line for a try of his own as the score erupted.
Walsh clinically put Cobbo and center Kotoni Staggs through for first half tries, although two brilliant offloads from Canberra captain Elliott Whitehead assisted the four-pointers for Matt Frawley and Nick Cotric.
A classic, dancing effort from Brisbane five-eighth Ezra Mam put the visitors ahead, but a perfect line from Young made it 16-16 at half-time.
The Raiders played regular five-eighth Jack Wighton in the centres, while Frawley came on at number 6, meaning veteran Jarrod Croker was relegated to the bench and saw just three minutes of action in what was possibly his final game in Canberra before he faced off with retired.
