Heartbreaking moment confused three month-old puppy chases after owners after being dumped out of car and abandoned in mobile home park
Heartbreaking CCTV footage shows the cruel moment a puppy was abandoned by a car in a California car park before desperately trying to chase down its owners.
The three-month-old German Shepherd puppy is dropped from a car door Thursday at the Country Living Mobile Home Park in Fresno.
The sweet black dog with pointy ears first looks around in confusion before watching the vehicle drive away.
The as-yet-unnamed animal then follows the car through the parking lot and down the street in desperation not to be left behind.
A witness from the mobile home community called the Fresno Animal Center, animal control officer Rudy Pina told KSEE.

Pina said mobile home management was able to safely capture the dog and care for her before animal control arrived.
“Fortunately, the management of the mobile home park was very determined to secure the dog themselves, which we are very grateful for and which has produced a great outcome for the animal,” Pina explained.
“Unfortunately, our animal control department responds to animal abandonment calls every week in the city of Fresno,” he said.
According to the shelter, the puppy is very friendly and immediately available for adoption.
Under California law, voluntarily abandoning an animal is a crime. According to Pina, a report has been filed with the local police.
It comes just days after another devastating abandonment of a Bull Terrier in Long Beach, California.

A food delivery driver behind the black sedan without tags recorded the heartbreaking scene as the dog hopelessly chased its owner as they ran away.

Destiny Gomez, 24, a woman who finds homes for stray animals, saw the video and messaged the delivery person.
“When I watched that video, it broke my heart. I couldn’t stop crying. I couldn’t keep the dog out of my mind,” Gomez told NBC Los Angeles in an interview.
After posting the video on Instagram to appeal to her vast network of dog lovers, she received a tip telling her where the dog might be.
“We also got street coordinates, like where someone saw him, so they said, ‘Can you go there?'” Gomez explained.
The hints from the amateur dog sleuths who followed Gomez’s Instagram led Gomez’s friend straight to the neighborhood where the dog was dumped. Hours later he found him safe and sound.
After making sure the dog was safe, fed and cared for, Gomez named him Chico and found a foster parent in nearby Palos Verdes.
Now Gomez is trying to find Chico a forever home.
