The victorious Spanish stars stepped onto a podium after their victory over the Lionesses at Stadium Australia to collect their gold medals from FIFA President Gianni Infantino, after beat England 1-0 in today’s final.
Spanish star Jenni Hermoso and her teammates were congratulated by dignitaries, including Queen Letizia, dressed all in red in support of her compatriots, who gave players a warm hug.
Also on the podium was Spanish federation boss Luis Rubiales, who put his arms around striker Jenni Hermoso and gave her a tight hug as he whispered in her ear.
Then he put both his hands on the back of her head and kissed her on the mouth.

Footage of the kiss has gone viral online since it went on the air, with some supporters saying Rubiales’ behavior was inappropriate.
Hermoso, 33, is one of the world’s most famous players in women’s football, with a career spanning nearly two decades.
She was successful with top Spanish clubs Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Rayo Vallecano and Hermoso also played for prestigious European teams, Swedish team Tyreso, Paris Saint-German.
She currently plays for Pachuca, a Mexican team.
During her career, Hermoso has won seven Spanish league titles with their individual clubs and eight club trophies.
She played for Barcelona as the team won the 2021 Champions League.
