Video footage captures the shocking moment two motorcycle robbers try to rob a woman on the streets of Argentina, but quickly encounter karma.

The brave policewoman, dressed in civilian clothes, thwarted the attack by opening fire on the attackers in Buenos Aires.

The incident took place last Wednesday. However, details reportedly only came to light on Thursday, according to the Argentine news channel Carlos Paz Vivo!

Both suspects, aged 18 and 19, were subsequently arrested by police. The Quilmes communication reported.

The dramatic scene took place at the intersection of General Manuel Savio and Bradley in Quilmes, Buenos Aires.

The quick-thinking officer then drew her service weapon and fired three shots.

The first bullet hit the approaching thief, who immediately collapsed.

From the ground, the policewoman quickly took aim at the other criminal still on the motorcycle.

The shooting successfully stopped the robbery attempt and forced the criminals to flee.

The officer was able to escape without injury.

The thieves were arrested while being treated in hospital for gunshot wounds.

Moments after the incident, a young man matching the description of one of the attackers arrived at Iriarte Hospital.

And later that same day, Almirante Brown staff reported that another man, with a small wound on his left arm, had been admitted to Oñativia Hospital in Rafael Calzada.
