Moment Odell Beckham Jr pulls up to scene of Tyreek Hill being handcuffed with a serious question

New footage has surfaced showing Tyreek Hill’s Miami Dolphins teammate Odell Beckham Jr. rushing toward the team after the former was arrested prior to Sunday’s season opener.

“What the f*** happened?” Beckham asked after watching his teammate being handcuffed by Miami-Dade police for an alleged traffic violation, as seen in footage released by TMZ.

When another team-mate, defender Calais Campbell, told Beckham that Hill had been fined for speeding, Beckham was heard to reply: ‘Ask them if they know what a 720S is. That bitch goes fast.’

A 720S is a McLaren sports car that was seen in the background of several social media videos of Sunday’s pre-race incident.

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said his client did not deserve to be handcuffed ahead of Miami’s season-opening win on Sunday and predicts the All-Pro receiver will take legal action against South Florida police over the incident.

“What happened to Tyreek today at the stadium is completely unacceptable,” Drew Rosenhaus told DailyMail.com in an email after watching his client get cited for speeding and reckless driving in Miami Gardens on Sunday. “Tyreek did not deserve to be treated this way by the law enforcement involved. Tyreek’s legal team will be pursuing this matter on Tyreek’s behalf and I am sure they will consider taking legal action.”

Rosenhaus, who lives in South Florida and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami, was in the car with Hill on Sunday when the Dolphins receiver was pulled over by police as he approached the stadium.

The exact details of the incident are not yet known, but bystanders captured Hill being handcuffed and laid face down in the street by Miami-Dade police, one of whom has since been suspended in connection with the incident.

Hill wasn’t the only Dolphins player handcuffed before Miami’s 20-17 win over visiting Jacksonville on Sunday. Defensive lineman Calais Campbell was also briefly handcuffed when he got involved, and later told reporters he was trying to de-escalate the situation.

“They put handcuffs on me too and I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ I didn’t understand what the big deal was, him putting handcuffs on me,” Campbell said after the game. “I felt some kind of way. That shows how resilient we are. We don’t let that stop us.

“That was a first, 17 years in this game. I saw Tyreek get arrested. I just wanted to make sure he was okay, and try to de-escalate the situation. The officer felt a certain way and put handcuffs on me.”

When told that the officer who handcuffed him had been suspended, Hill told reporters, “That tells you all you need to know.”

Hill, who insists he has “no idea” why he was handcuffed, stressed that he was respectful to the officer during their conversation.

“I wasn’t disrespectful because my mother didn’t raise me that way,” Hill said. “I didn’t swear. I didn’t do any of that. Like I said, I’m still trying to figure it out, man.”

The ugly moment didn’t deter Hill on the field, where he caught seven passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. Best of all, he celebrated his 80-yard touchdown reception by pretending to be handcuffed in the end zone.

Miami-Dade Police Director Stephanie V. Daniels has launched an internal investigation into the incident.

“I strive for transparency and accountability to the community in every situation involving my officers,” Hill said.

The NFL has contacted the Dolphins about the incident, but has not released a statement at this time.
