A man has collapsed in court after a violent three-hour rampage that included stealing a police car after officers confronted him.

Elias Natano also knocked down a single mother and stabbed her brother before also running over him during the North Melbourne crime spree in April 2021.

The inebriated man was caught on video yelling, ‘You’re going to have to put a bullet in me, boy’ as officers backed away before he opened the car door and drove off.

Police were forced to chase their own vehicle with Natano clocking 225 km/h in the brazen carjacking.

The violent rampage came to an end after he crashed the police car and was bitten by a police dog.

Authorities first captured Natano at his home after he attacked his brother, leaving him with life-threatening injuries in Kalkallo, north Melbourne. 7News informed.

He ambushed his brother and stabbed him four times in the middle of a road in a frenzied attack caught on CCTV, before also running over his legs.

Natano then threatened to kill his brother’s partner and three-year-old daughter, telling the woman: ‘I’m going to kill you, you’re next.’

He also directly drove a single mother into the area, throwing her five meters into the air before leaving her to die.

The woman whose identity is being redacted read her victim impact statement in County Court on Wednesday, nine news informed.

‘You have mentally ruined me… you will never have my forgiveness.

“It’s been 676 days since you saw it as your right to ruin my life.”

She told the court that she has suffered from chronic pain and post-traumatic stress disorder since the devastating incident.

“The pain is still so intense that it still makes me cry,” he said.

Natano shed tears and pleaded for mercy in court, apologizing to his victims.

“I wish you a good recovery and may the Lord take you back to before what I did to you,” he told the mother on Wednesday.

He has pleaded guilty to 16 charges and faces sentencing in March.
