Christmas isn’t looking too cheerful this year for a man who suffered a painful fall from a ladder while putting up Christmas decorations in his New York home.
A man was setting up some festive decor in the backyard of his Chatham home Sunday afternoon when he had an unfortunate accident with the usually useful device sitting on the deck.
And his security cameras outside captured his intense fall to the ground.
As you work the top few steps, you can see the ladder begin to slide backward on the planks of the deck below.
But within a few seconds, it completely slipped out from under him, sending him crashing deep to the ground along with a green thread and other loose supplies.
He landed on his feet briefly before immediately falling on his back onto the screed, where he was subsequently caught as he rolled around in pain.
Not even a minute later we see him get up and quickly limp from the deck to the grass of the spacious backyard – apparently trying to walk away from the pain.
Stephanie Behrens, the man’s wife, told Storyful that her husband was miraculously uninjured in the fall and is happy to share the footage “now that it is confirmed that he is okay.”
