Moment ‘drunk’ woman brawls on Ryanair flight from Manchester to Ibiza after passengers accused her of barging into them before getting kicked off the flight

This is the shocking moment when a ‘drunk’ woman got into a fight on a Ryanair flight to Ibiza after passengers accused her of crashing into them – before she was kicked off her flight.

Witness Lyndsay Cash had been boarding the flight from terminal three of Manchester Airport on Monday when an argument broke out in the queues in front of her.

Footage of the 43-year-old showed the woman, dressed in a pink top, standing in the aisle and arguing with a holidaymaker before being pulled away in a headlock.

Someone – presumably the woman in pink – was heard repeatedly shouting and swearing “I’ll find you” to her rivals.

Lyndsay said police escorted the woman and three others off the plane and applause followed from the aisles.

The beautician was annoyed when her 3pm flight was delayed by an hour and a half and said some children were even in tears over the incident.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that two men and a woman, all in their 30s, have been arrested and remain in custody for questioning.

The angry passenger got up to continue the yelling fight in the middle of the aisle as men believed to be relatives tried to stop them.

The ‘drunken’ woman then tried to strike out before being dragged backwards by a man in green who tried to deal with the angry holidaymakers himself.

He reportedly pushed a passenger and yelled in someone else’s face, while fellow passengers watched in shock and small children sobbed in fear.

Lyndsay believes Ryanair staff should not have allowed the woman on the flight and should have done more to calm the situation rather than “leaving it to the passengers”.

She posted footage of the fight to Facebook before they left, where it garnered nearly 150 comments in less than an hour.

Lyndsay, from Wigan, Greater Manchester, said: ‘She stormed into everyone as soon as she got on the plane.

Lyndsay said the incident happened about 15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to take off from terminal three at 3 p.m.

“She was drunk and when someone noticed that she got offended and started kicking everyone. They just started fighting in the aisle and it got really aggressive.

“The flight attendants weren’t much use and the kids were angry. I was not happy with the way it was managed.’

She continued, “It annoyed me and everyone else on the plane. Everyone clapped when she was escorted and she even fought with the police.

“I don’t think she should have been allowed on the plane and I think the stewards should have been much quicker. It was left to the passengers to deal with.

“If you can’t take it, don’t drink.”

Lyndsay said the incident happened about 15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to take off from terminal three at 3 p.m.

She says the rest of the passengers remained on the flight until it was due to depart shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Her Facebook post, with the sarcastic caption “Don’t you just love a flight to Ibiza,” received more than 80 responses in just one hour.

One user commented, “Omg! I feel sorry for the little ones on that plane. I know my son would have been scared. What’s wrong with grown women!’

A second said, ‘What is that anyway? Tomorrow morning they will be stripped.’

A third added: ‘This is just pathetic. What are you, ten years old?’

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: ‘Officers were called around 3pm yesterday (Monday 21 August) about reports of disruptive passengers on board a flight taking off from Manchester Airport.

“Two men in their 30s and a woman, also in her 30s, have all been arrested on suspicion of intoxication on board an aircraft. One of the men and the woman were further arrested on suspicion of assaulting police officers. They all remain in custody for questioning.’

A Ryanair spokesman said: ‘This flight from Manchester to Ibiza (21 August) was delayed before take-off when a small number of passengers caused disruption.

“These passengers were taken off the plane by the local police and after a short delay the flight continued safely to Ibiza.

“This is now a matter for the local police. We sincerely apologize to the affected passengers for the inconvenience caused as a result of the disruptive behavior of these passengers.”
