Moment disgraced Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade’s team suddenly STOPS his interview with Kaitlan Collins as she grills him over fling with DA Fani Willis
- Former Trump accuser Nathan Wade was interrupted by his media adviser
Trump’s ousted former prosecutor Nathan Wade was in the middle of an interview with CNN on Wednesday when he was suddenly interrupted by a “media consultant.”
In a bizarre moment, in the middle of an as-live television interview, Wade was questioned by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins about the timeline of his relationship timeline with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, a Democrat.
Collins asked Wade when his romantic relationship with Willis started, but just as he was about to get into full swing with his answer, he was interrupted by his media consultant who told him to turn off his microphone.
Before being interrupted, Wade revealed that he still “speaks regularly” with Willis and noted that the election interference case against former President Donald Trump “will live on” despite his removal from the case.
“When did the romantic relationship between you two begin?” Collins then asked.

Willis had started to answer a question when he was interrupted by his advisor who told him to turn off his microphone
The pair then sat in the corner of the room to whisper to each other
“Yes, so we’re going to address… there’s been an effort to say that, okay, these exact dates are in question and these exact dates are….”
At that point, Wade suddenly seemed distracted and looked away from the camera and said he was “spotted here.”
They then sat in the corner of the room for almost a minute, whispering to each other about how best to answer the question.
They could both look at a document while Collins sat in the chair, bewildered, waiting for his return.
In the background, a CNN producer could be heard telling the cameraman to “keep going.”
When Wade was back in his seat, Collins resumed her questions and asked Wade if he was okay.
“To get back to the question, it was intended to clarify when the romantic relationship began and when it ended,” Collins told Wade again.

When Wade returned, he looked particularly sheepish at what had just happened

“I believe the public has gotten a clear picture through the testimony and other interviews that this is clearly just a distraction,” Wade responded.
‘It’s not relevant in this case. And I think we need to focus more on the facts and the charges of the case.”
The appeals court may hear arguments in October about former President Trump’s efforts to have Willis removed from the election interference case she filed against him.
Last week, the appeals court froze the criminal case against Trump as it considered his appeal to remove Willis from the case.
“The Georgia Court of Appeals has rightly stayed all state court proceedings against President Trump pending the decision of our summary judgment motion that the case should be dismissed and that Fulton County DA Willis should be disqualified because of her misconduct,” says Steve Sadow, Trump’s leader. Georgia’s attorney said in a statement.
Wade was the former special prosecutor in Fulton County and helped lead former President Trump’s criminal prosecution in Georgia.
He resigned in March after Judge Scott McAffee, who is overseeing the case in Fulton County Superior Court, ruled that Willis could only stay on the case if Wade resigned.
