He said: ‘You can call me crazy, you can call me misogynistic, but I think once a woman reaches the age of 50, every woman should stop being interested in thirst quenching on Instagram.’

He then complimented Mrs. Holden, saying, “I think she has bigger responsibilities. I’m sure she’s a very intelligent lady, she’s done great things.

“She’s famous, she’s obviously very capable and I think she can do things that are more interesting than standing on Instagram trying to thirst like she’s 18.”

Tate added that he was not “insulting” Ms Holden, but rather “reminding her that she is such a wonderful person… that she is beyond thirst,” and told Piers Morgan that he did so “as a feminist.” ‘.

Tate said, “As a feminist, we are all feminists here, we all believe in women’s empowerment, I remind her of her worth.”

Tate added: “Taking your clothes off in front of men on Instagram is not empowering. It’s empowering to say, “No one but my husband can see my body.” That is female empowerment.”
