Moment dad-of-two, 36, is shot and killed ‘by teenage boy aged 14 and friend’ who were trying to steal a golf cart from Houston farmer’s market
Surveillance footage captured the moment a father of two was shot and killed by thieves who tried to steal a golf cart at a farmers market.
Damon Price, 36, was working at the Houston Farmers Market Thursday morning when police say two people came in and tried to steal a golf cart.
Price was helping check in vans when the incident occurred and tried to stop the thieves, during which they shot him multiple times.
The two suspects were then captured on camera fleeing the scene, leaving him for dead in the parking lot.
On Friday, ABC13 reported that a 14-year-old was now in custody in connection with his death.

Surveillance footage released by police shows the two young suspects browsing merchandise at the market and looking at the golf cart.
They were carrying backpacks and one of them appeared to be wearing flip-flops.
Investigators who arrived at the scene said they found at least four shell casings.
“This happened while he was doing his job,” his father, Leo Price Senior, told the newspaper. “Really, there’s nothing to say about a man going to work.”
Price’s ex-wife, Cheterria Alexander, with whom he shares a 14-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old daughter, learned about Prince’s death on the way to a chemotherapy appointment.
‘Put down your weapons. The man was just working to provide for his children and his family,” Alexander told KTRK.
“He has a family, just like you all have families. We take a loss. They should take a loss too,” said Price’s ex-wife, Cheterria Alexander. “I just ask that justice be done. Whoever did this to him, just turn yourself in. He had babies. What if it was you?’
