Moment Channel Ten presenter is caught on camera moonlighting as a waiter at a Grand Prix party

The Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix has kicked off in Melbourne and with it comes glamorous parties.

While many celebrities are invited to the dazzling events, some may go out of their way to participate.

This seemed to be the case for Channel 10’s The Cheap Seats presenter Tim McDonald, who said the only reason he was at the star-studded Glamor on the Grid party on Wednesday was because he was working as a waiter.

However, the funnyman was just joking about his black and white outfit and was actually there on his own merit.

During a segment on Studio 10, host Angela Bishop pulled Tim aside to tell him he looked “very glamorous”.

Tim joked: ‘Thanks, I’m one of the servers tonight, was it an espresso martini? Sorry Angela, I forgot your request.’

Tim has been presenting The Cheap Seats on Channel 10 with Melanie Bracewell since 2021.

The show takes a comedic look at the week that was, from major news events to sports, show business and viral videos.

Some of the most important people in Australian society have flocked to attend the glamorous Grand Prix parties.

Party week kicked off on Wednesday night with the Glamor on the Grid event at Melbourne’s Albert Park Circuit.

Some of the attendees who walked the red carpet included AFL star Marc Murphy and his wife Jessie, WAG Bec Judd, The Block’s Sharon Johal and former Miss Universe Maria Thattil.

Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm, former Miss Universe Olivia Molly Rogers and Love Island’s Anna McEvoy also performed at the star-studded event.
