Moment brazen thieves steal a 6ft safe full of Rolex watches, diamond jewelry and cash worth up to $1 MILLION from Miami store

  • The robbery took place yesterday at C4G Jewelers, owned by Oscar Zegarra
  • The suspects entered the store through a wall, threw a metal wire around the safe and ripped it out of the store
  • The safe was filled with Rolexes, diamond necklaces, Cuban link chains and cash

Two thieves were caught on camera stealing nearly $1 million dollars worth of jewelry from a store in Miami.

Over the span of four hours, two unknown suspects broke into a neighboring nail salon before making their way to C4G Jewelers in Hialeah early Monday morning.

The duo then spent hours breaking through the shared wall between the salon and the jewelry store before finally breaking through.

'It was easy to get in. No alarm, no security, nothing,” store owner Oscar Zegarras said. “They made a hole and from there they went to my store.”

Images show that one of the burglars opens the door from the inside and that the second suspect walks in with a kind of metal wire in a round shape, which he threw over the safe.

The robbers then connected the wire to a blue and white pickup truck, got into the vehicle and drove away with Zegarra's “life savings.”

Footage shows the duo, who are wearing hoodies and have their faces hidden, as soon as they enter the property.

They were seen attaching a wire to a 6-foot-tall safe before pulling it out in a pickup truck.

The distressed owner said losing the safe is the worst possible outcome.

'This is the nightmare I never wanted. And it happened today,” he said.

'We have twelve employees, who are part of my family. They are not real blood, but I care for them like family. We have been together for many years.

'This is the high season for us. Then we get the most profit out of all the bad seasons we have just had. This just happened and it's crazy. Thats crazy.'

'It was easy to get in. No alarm, no security, nothing. They made a hole and went to my store,” said store owner Oscar Zegarra

The incident was reported by a person walking through the mall. The safe was filled with Rolexes, diamond necklaces, Cuban link chains and cash

He says the store's alarm never went off and he didn't know about the theft until around 9 a.m.

The incident was reported by a person walking through the mall.

The safe was filled with Rolexes, diamond necklaces, Cuban link chains and cash.

Zegarra said he has insurance for the store but is unsure how much of the damage it will cover.

Police have asked anyone with information to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
