Hilarious moment Andy Murray makes a VERY rude joke about what his wife thinks of a sensitive part of his anatomy after his epic win over Thanasi Kokkinakis

  • British veteran Andy Murray dug deep to beat Thanasi Kokkinakis in five sets
  • The epic second round match ended just after 4 am, lasting five hours and 45 minutes.
  • When asked about being ‘big’ in all areas of his body, Murray, 35, played along.

Andy Murray was all smiles after his heroic win against Thanasi Kokkinakis on Thursday night, then showed off his very cheeky sense of humor.

After the match, the 35-year-old was asked by Channel 9’s John Fitzgerald how he managed to come back from the brink, losing two sets to nil and facing elimination from the Australian Open.

He replied that he has a ‘big heart’, which was an understatement given how he found a way to win.

When Australian tennis legend Fitzgerald suggested, “Well, if I may say so, I think you’ve got everything I think.”

The 35-year-old, who has already spent 10 hours on court after back-to-back five-set wins at Melbourne Park, jokingly replied: “I’m not sure my wife (Kim) would agree.”

Fitzgerald later quipped that Murray was a “weird guy”, to which the British veteran agreed, stating that “my wife often says that”.

In his press conference, Murray reaffirmed his belief that his second round clash against Kokkinakis ended too late, at 4:05am local time.

“I don’t know for whom it is beneficial,” he said. ‘It ends in some kind of farce.

“Amazingly, people stayed until the end, and I really appreciate that they did that and created an atmosphere for us at the end.

‘Obviously some people need to work the next day and everything.

‘If my son was a ball boy in a tournament and came home at five in the morning, as a father, I would criticize him.

‘It’s not beneficial for them. It is not beneficial for the referees, the officials. I don’t think it’s surprising to the fans. It is not good for the players.

Murray was also furious during his match with Kokkinakis when he was denied a request to go to the bathroom early in the fifth set because he had exceeded his ‘allowance’.

The three-time Grand Slam winner asked to use the bathroom, but his plea fell on deaf ears.

Next, he will face 24th seed Roberto Bautista Agut for a spot in the fourth round on Saturday.
