This is the shocking moment a man shouted ‘Free Palestine’ after being arrested by police for invading a house while a family slept there.

The alleged intruder, who has not been identified, can be heard shouting “Free Palestine” and “Brown Lives Matter” while being handcuffed after breaking into a house and shouting anti-Semitic insults early Wednesday morning.

Los Angeles Police Department North Hollywood Division units responded to the incident in the 3000 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard around 5:20 a.m.

One of the homeowners, a nine-month employee, called 911 during the home invasion and said a man had broken in through the door where she was with her husband and four children.

“(He said) I’m going to kill you because you’re Jewish…Israel kills people,” she said KTL in a telephone interview.

After a few minutes, the man was able to push the man out of their home and into their backyard.

When officers arrived on scene, the suspect was armed with a kitchen knife. Breaking news reported.

The man, in his 30s, allegedly entered the backyard and kicked the door of the home to break in, police said.

“Based on the on-scene investigation, this incident is being investigated as a possible hate crime,” the LAPD said.

“He was drunk,” one of the victims said, adding that he shouted anti-Semitic insults for six to seven minutes.

She also said she had seen him in the area before.

It’s possible the victims were targeted because they have Jewish symbols in their homes, she said.

Her husband wears a Jewish Yamaka hat on his way to work every day, she added.

No one was injured in the attack and no property was taken.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called the burglary “a vile act of hate” in a statement.

“In the wake of the terror and violence of recent weeks, this is one of the greatest fears of Jewish families in our country – hatred pouring over the threshold and destroying the sense of safety and security in a home,” the mayor said . .

“We remain steadfast in our support of the Jewish people – the people of Los Angeles will not back down from hatred. We will respond to it.

“The Los Angeles Police Department will continue to increase patrols in communities across our city and I am calling on officials to take action to ensure that the person responsible for this heinous act is fully held accountable.”

“We will always stand together,” Mayor Bass said.

The man’s identity and the charges he faces remained unclear Wednesday evening.
