Her mother was a top model in the 1990s.

She was often compared to Gwyneth Paltrow because she had high cheekbones, almond eyes, long and straight blond hair and a very slim build.

The model mother walked for Versace and Chanel and was on the cover of Vogue and Elle, among others.

She fell in love with a Hollywood fake baby who worked as an actor and musician.

And then they had this little one who is now a clone of her ’90s mom.

Dad’s Sister is a huge ’80s movie star who worked with John Cusack, Keanu Reeves and Robert Downey Jr.

Mother and daughter were side by side this weekend at the 2023 LACMA Art+Film Gala at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Who is this teenager?

She is 19 year old Violet Hume.

Her full name is Violet Lilac Jean Hume.

Her mother is 47-year-old model Kristy Hume, a Scottish model who rose to fame alongside Cindy Crawford in the 1990s.

Dad is 56-year-old Donovan Leitch, a British-born American actor, singer and former model.

He is the son of singer-songwriter Donovan – best known for the song Mellow Yellow – and the brother of actress Ione Skye.

Ione starred in the 1980s film Say Anything with John Cusack.

She also worked with Keanu Reeves on River’s Edge and Robert Downey Jr. to One Night Stand.

And she married Australian singer Ben Lee, who once dated Claire Danes.

Her uncle is the late Paralympic athlete Elliot Hume, who was born with cerebral palsy but made a significant contribution to Scottish sport as an internationally severely disabled athlete in the 1980s, when such events were not yet so high-profile.

Violet has done a lot of modeling work. The viewer already has many repeats, including DNA Models and Viva Paris.

Kristy was a big name in the ’90s, working with Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer.

After leaving the modeling world for more than a decade, the mother of one returned years ago with her daughter in tow.

Kirsty and Violet posed together for a stunning mother-daughter spread in the January issue of Vogue magazine, and it’s clear the teen has inherited her Scottish mother’s ethereal good looks.

In an outdoor shot taken by photographer Zoë Ghertner, Violet is seen hugging her mother from behind with her eyes closed, while Kirsty stares into the distance.

Twenty years ago, Kirsty was discovered by famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier and quickly rose to fame walking for high-end labels such as Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Chanel.

Kirsty then booked a high-profile beauty campaign with Chanel and worked as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, but the constant flow of modeling work made her realize that city life wasn’t for her.

She famously said the most exciting thing about modeling was ‘the money’, and looking back on her time in the city, Kirsty admitted in the latest issue of Vogue: ‘I’m not an urban creature.’

The model and her former husband, Donovan, spent some time in Woodstock, New York, before moving to Los Angeles in 2001.

Violet was born three years later, but Kirsty longed to be even closer to nature than in the vast city.

Kirsty and her daughter moved to Topanga Canyon, an hour outside of Los Angeles.

Kirsty celebrated her return to the fashion world in 2014 when Violet was 10 years old and modeling for Zara.

Looking back on her illustrious career, she admitted that she didn’t really understand why Victoria’s Secret hired her.

“I’m not exactly a classic lingerie girl, I didn’t think,” she told Vogue.com at the time. ‘I’m a pretty quiet person and not really someone who likes to be dressed up and put on stage…

‘I became a face of Chanel Beauty when I was 19 and it feels like a different life when I think about it now, but in many ways it felt like a different life even then! “Where am I?! What am I doing?!” she added.

“I never really made the decision to leave fashion, but this definitely feels like a conscious return.”
