A father has been accused of stabbing his child’s mother more than 100 times before putting his two-year-old son in a lake only to be found in the mouth of an alligator.
Thomas Mosley, 21, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Pashun Jeffrey, 20, and the couple’s son, Taylen Mosley, 2, in St. Petersburg, Florida. He allegedly killed the couple after his family threw him a birthday party.
Last Thursday, Jeffrey was found stabbed to death in her apartment with blood all over the scene and outside the house, and Taylen was found dead hours later in an alligator about 10 miles from his mother’s house.
Law enforcement recovered the toddler’s body after euthanizing the alligator, and Thomas Mosley is currently in the Pinellas County Jail after being treated for cuts to his hands and arms.

Pashun Jeffrey, 20, was mother to two-year-old Taylen Mosley. She was known as a loving and devoted single mother who strived to give her son a better life
The elder Mosley had been at Jeffrey’s house late in the afternoon with the victim’s family to celebrate the young father’s birthday.
Several hours later, Mosley arrived at his mother’s house with “severe lacerations to both his hands and arms, consistent with injuries caused by slipping during a knife attack.”
Before arriving at his mother’s house, Mosley traveled to the Lake Maggiore area and threw his son into the water with premeditation, an action police classified as first-degree murder.
Mosley then arrived at his mother’s house around 9:00 pm and from there went to hospital to be treated for his injuries before being arrested. He reportedly did not cooperate with authorities.
a GoFundMe founded by the grieving family that has now raised north of $20,000, Jeffrey described as “committed” to improving her son’s life.
Taylen was described as a “sweet and happy toddler” who “grabbed someone’s phone and pretended to call his mother” while she was at work.
“To see them together and their love for each other was a blessing. We will remember their love and keep them in our hearts.
Family members last saw Jeffrey and Taylen on Wednesday, March 29 at around 5:30 p.m. They called for a welfare check on the young mother the next day when they were unable to contact her.
Neighbors said they heard a loud commotion near the apartment around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night, but police were not called.
The next morning, Jeffrey’s mother called the apartment manager for a welfare check after her daughter missed their daily FaceTime call.
Law enforcement and relatives initially hoped to find Taylen alive when his body was seen being carried by an alligator in the nearby lake
Relatives of Pashun said she was a “devoted” single mother who adored her son
Taylen had just celebrated his second birthday, 19 days before he was found dead
An associate found Jeffrey’s body in the bathroom, which was described as a “very violent” scene that included a bloody fingerprint on a cleaning bottle that was “deliberately placed under a bed,” according to an affidavit.
There was also a bloody shoe print with the “Gucci” decal on the bathroom floor where the victim was found.
Law enforcement and relatives initially hoped to find Taylen alive when his body was seen being carried by an alligator in the nearby lake.
An officer shot the reptile to retrieve the body.
“We’re sorry it has to end like this,” St. Petersburg police chief Anthony Holloway said at a news conference Friday night.
Sniffer dogs, drones and search teams were deployed to find the missing toddler.
He had celebrated his second birthday just 19 days before his murder.
