A Las Vegas woman was found dead in a luggage bag near an apartment complex last week.

Kristen Avelar, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene after Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to a tip of a possible deceased person near Spencer Street and East Reno Avenue.

Now police are calling on the public for help.

Authorities received the tip shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday after a person spotted a dead person in a bag. The mirror reported.
