A Las Vegas woman was found dead in a luggage bag near an apartment complex last week.

Kristen Avelar, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene after Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to a tip of a possible deceased person near Spencer Street and East Reno Avenue.
