A mother has horrified the internet after describing what her vagina looked like after giving birth to her daughter.
Val Emanuel, 33, from Los Angeles, is an actress and founder of Reef Care, a brand of organic menstrual products. She has over 90,000 followers on TikTok, where she documents her life as a mother and entrepreneur.
The content creator, who uses the handle @malibuma__went viral after she remembered looking at her postpartum vagina for the first time.
“No one tells you what it will look like after you give birth, but I’m just telling you now,” she began her eye-opening video.

Emanuel said she first looked at herself “down there” when she was eight years old.
“Then I think I looked every now and then because I was like, ‘Mmm, this cute little quarter slot machine type situation,” she explained.

‘I didn’t tear. I didn’t tear. “I was very proud of that, so I thought it would be normal,” she said. “Newsflash, it looks like ground turkey. It is like ground turkey, but for two weeks. Then it looks like a sliced turkey.’
Emanuel added that at some point between delivery and 12 weeks of recovery, “it goes back to looking like it did before.”

“Pro tip: Don’t LOOK for a while, like eight weeks,” one mom advised.
