A mother of two has accused her husband of ‘ghosting’ her and their two children in a shocking social media post – claiming he fled to another state to start a new life while she was pregnant of their second baby. launched a desperate appeal to internet sleuths to help her track him down.

Ashley McGuire, from Massachusetts, took to Facebook to address the popular Are We Dating The Same Guy? group to make several incredible allegations about former reality star chef Charles Withers.

The scorned husband claimed she was pregnant when Charles reportedly went missing, adding: ‘He has a baby he hasn’t seen in over a year and one he’s never met.’

Mother-of-two Ashley wrote that he had gone ‘missing’ and that she now wanted to use the ‘power’ of social media to track him down and finalize a divorce.

The sordid saga started when Ashley shared a post in the group on Saturday.

It said: ‘I’m really about to test the power of Facebook with this…’

‘This is my husband, Charles Withers. He likes to be the center of attention, but I’m not sure how much he’ll like this.

‘Last year, when I was pregnant with our youngest baby, he decided that being a husband and father was no longer the lifestyle he wanted and he ghosted, as if missing.

“He has one baby he hasn’t seen in over a year and one he’s never met. He moved somewhere out of state and changed his phone number.”

She continued, “Divorcing someone who is completely unreachable is very hard and long lasting so I’m trying to track him down to get his signature on some papers so I can finally close this chapter . and move on with my life.

“I heard his name is ‘Charlie’ now.” He’s British and charming as fuck. He’s a chef and probably never mentioned he had a wife with kids in Massachusetts.

“If you know him, if you work with him, if you go out with him or if you are friends with him, can you please have him contact me or let me know where I can find him.

Ashley’s post concluded, “A friend of a friend needs to know where he is.”

Charles, who had previously appeared on an episode of Food Network’s Chopped in 2022, was a rising star in the culinary world.

He had been at the helm of Falmouth’s C Salt Wine Bar and Grille.

And Ashley’s post sent the internet into a frenzy, as dozens of women rallied.

In a TikTok clip shared by Mary Katherine Samples in the aftermath of the fury that has since been viewed more than 3.8 million times, the internet sleuth was just one of many to elaborate on the situation.

“Ashley McGuire posted a Facebook message asking the world to help find her missing husband Charlie Withers, who she believes has just abandoned his family – two children.

“It’s been a year since he left town. He has not contacted the family. What the hell is Charlie? Where are you?

“The last thing we know is that he had opened a restaurant in Massachusetts where he was a chef, sold a bunch of gift cards and then took the money and closed the store, leaving all the customers and employees in the dark with unpaid wages and unusable gift cards.”

The content creator, who has more than 132,000 followers, continued: “A lot of people are wondering, what the heck is this anyway and why isn’t she concerned about his safety?

‘I don’t know the answer to that. It seems she knows he abandoned the family.

“I really hope he’s found safe and quickly, but good lord, this is going to be a wild ride.”

Mary’s claims about Charles’ restaurant have yet to be confirmed, but the eatery is listed on Google as “permanently closed.”

The TripAdvisor page has also been hit with similar allegations.

One reviewer named Bill said he was “disgusted” with Charles and called him a “classless owner.”

While discussing his gift card, the disgruntled customer wrote, “I went to use it in November 2023 only to find out the restaurant is closed and I stole my gift card dollars! That should be illegal, stealing unused dollars from customers.”

He said: ‘Charles Withers does not deserve any protection for his deceit.’

Another called Diane wrote: ‘My daughter gave us a gift voucher and we booked our table for August 2nd. The reservation was confirmed by Open Table.

‘We were really looking forward to dinner, but when we got there it was closed. I don’t know why we weren’t notified. I had provided my contact details. As we were on holiday to Falmouth there will be no opportunity to visit this restaurant again.

‘My daughter gave me a generous gift voucher for my birthday. It was very unfortunate and costly for her and for us.”

But Ashley has since taken to the social media platform again to share an update.

‘UPDATE: Guys… This is absolutely insane. I thought maybe someone close to me was still in contact with him, but I definitely didn’t expect this.

‘I’ve gotten more than enough information to locate him. I have literally hundreds of posts to go through, some with information and some with support, and I appreciate them all.

“Single mothers are a special breed, and I know many of you have been through the same situation as me.”

But she was keen to emphasize that she “didn’t wish him any ill will.”

“I sincerely appreciate all your support, but please do not make threats, spread hate or try to locate him,” she said. “Really, I just want this situation to be resolved so that me and my children can restart our lives and repair the damage that has been done.”
