Molly Ringwald gushes over husband Panio Gianopoulos on 22-year anniversary together

Molly Ringwald paid tribute to her husband Panio Gianopoulos in celebration of their 22 years together.

On Wednesday, the icon of teen cinema of the 80s she took to her Instagram page and shared some sweet sentiments towards her hubby along with a recent photo of the couple and a snapshot of them apparently snuggling up early in their relationship.

‘Today, the ‘getaway car’ and I are celebrating our 22nd anniversary together! Happy anniversary to us! she gushed in the caption, adding: ‘3 kids, 3 dogs, 1 cat and lots of love. The best decision I’ve ever made. Here’s to 22 more, at least.

The 22-year anniversary seems to represent how long they’ve been together as a couple, considering they didn’t officially tie the knot until 2007.

In the cover photo, the Pretty In Pink star has her arms wrapped around her man, their heads leaning against each other, while apparently enjoying a romantic dinner for two at a restaurant.

The Greek-American writer and book editor, 47, can be seen wearing a dark sweater with a zipper that was undone by several inches and his hair cut short.

For the second image in the Instagram post, Ringwald thought he would draw a comparison to the first by posting an old photo showing the former Brat Pack star hugging Gianopoulos that appears to be from the turn of the century.

They appeared to be engaged in conversation with friends and/or family members, while drinking wine in a restaurant or bar.

The duo often take pride in their three children – 19-year-old Mathilda and 13-year-old twins Roman and Adele – by posting photos, videos and messages about them on their social media platforms.

Known as one of the screen queens of the 1980s with roles in such coming-of-age classics as Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), Pretty In Pink (1986) and The Pick-up Artist ( 1987).

A little over a year ago during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy in 2021The Roseville, California native opened up about raising her three children and whether she’s sat down to watch any of her old movies with them.

“It’s definitely a different time. People ask me if I’ve seen them with my children, and I saw the first one…with Mathilda,” she admitted. “And it was such an emotional experience.” I found that strength to watch it with my other two children.
