Molly Ringwald and her husband Paino Gianopoulos started their weekend early and hit the red carpet at the 2023 PEN America Literary Awards.

The 55-year-old actress and her 47-year-old writer husband rocked chic ensembles as they hit the red carpet at The Town Hall in New York City, just a month after celebrating 22 years together.

Ringwald was one of the evening’s presenters along with authors Robert Jones Jr. and Mahogany L. Browne, actress/choreographer Adesola Osakalumi, composer/musician Jad Abumrad, producer/director/model Geena Rocero, comedian Rachel Dratch and the lawyer and journalist Ari Naftali Melber.

Ringwald stepped out in an off-the-shoulder, flower-print pink dress that fell on the red carpet during the event.

Her short red locks fell to her shoulders, accessorizing with pink earrings and holding a gold clutch.

The Brat Pack actress completed her look with a pair of silver pointed-toe pumps for the award show.

Her husband, Panio Gianopoulos, opted for a classic black Gucci suit – without a tie – with a white shirt, black coat, black pants and black shoes.

The departure comes a month after Ringwald celebrated his 22nd year with Gianopoulos.

‘Today, the ‘getaway car’ and I are celebrating our 22nd anniversary together! Happy anniversary to us! she gushed in the caption.

The couple married in 2007 and share three children, Mathilda, 19, and twins Roman and Adele, 13.

He opened up in 2021 on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy about raising his kids and whether or not he showed them his first movies.

‘It’s definitely a different time. People ask me if I have seen them with my children, and I saw the first one… with Mathilda,” she said.

“And it was such an emotional experience that I haven’t found the strength to watch it with my other two children,” she added.

Also hitting the red carpet for the annual event was 30 Rock creator/star Tina Fey, who was all smiles in a gray and black wool coat.

She was wearing a long black dress under her coat, clutching a large black leather handbag, completing her look with light gray pumps.

Fey was on hand to receive the 2023 PEN/Mike Nichols Writing for Performance Award, and was presented with the award by his former SNL co-star Rachel Dratch.

“It has been a lifelong dream to have my name associated in some way with the great Mike Nichols. Thanks to this award, I can stop working on my Silkwood reboot,” Fey joked in a statement in January.

Fey is only the fifth winner of the award, after Elaine May (2022), George C. Wolfe (2021), Tom Stoppard (2020) and Kenneth Lonergan (2019).

The event was hosted by actor Kal Penn, who opted for a colorful blue suit with a black shirt and blue tennis shoes.

Penn also posed on the red carpet with Peter Skurman and Romen Borsellino before fulfilling his hosting duties.
