Molly-Mae Hague opens up about motherhood struggles in new documentary as she juggles life as a single parent after Tommy Fury split
Molly-Mae Haag has opened up about her struggles with motherhood in her new documentary Behind It All, which sees her juggle life as a single parent following her divorce from Tommy Fury.
The influencer, 25, welcomed daughter Bambi in January 2023 with former fiancée Tommy, also 25, before the couple announced the end of their relationship in August last year.
Since the shock break-up, Molly-Mae has been balancing the life of co-parenting Bambi, 23, for months, as well as her constantly busy career, which lately has included the launch of her first clothing line, Maebe.
And in a candid moment in her six-part show, released Friday on Prime Video, Molly-Mae is seen struggling with her emotions as she navigates her life without Tommy while he rocks out.
It also sees her reflect on the early days of motherhood, wondering whether having a baby had ‘ruined’ her chances of new career opportunities.
Her manager Francesca Britton tells the camera: ‘She has worked very hard to build this brand and Tommy has been by her side all this time, but now she is living her own life and co-parenting.

‘The coming months will be very difficult. She didn’t want any of this, unfortunately life doesn’t turn out the way you think.’
In the episode, Molly-Mae gets frustrated with Tommy over FaceTime for not sending her baby ballet videos, while in another scene Bambi cries as Molly-Mae prepares her lunch.
Molly-Mae talks about mother life: ‘It’s great to be a mother. As the days go by, I enjoy it more and more as Bambi grows.
“But at first it was a lot to take in and a lot to navigate. Of having this life where I woke up every day as a free bird to do and go and have whatever day I wanted to have, and then suddenly from one day to the next my life wasn’t my life anymore.
“Have I ruined the chance of me being able to work or do anything other than kidnap this little human?”
The star then added, “But now I think I wouldn’t have changed anything in the last five years because we have her and I’m very grateful.”
It comes after Molly-Mae admitted she ‘didn’t enjoy motherhood at first’ as she revealed she’s ‘ready to let people into her life’ with her upcoming documentary.
Speaking of the first month of Bambi’s life, when Tommy was away at a boxing training camp, she shared Grazia: ‘I was always thinking, “This isn’t what I imagined it would look like,” and I was confused as to why I felt like it looked one way to other people but the other way for me.

‘I didn’t feel like I was really enjoying it, but as the months went by I feel like I’m really getting into it now. I love motherhood so much.”
The blonde beauty added that she is “really proud of the work” she and Tommy have done so far in raising their little one.
In August, just before Molly-Mae and Tommy announced their split, the star claimed she was “solo parenting” and “struggling.”
In a candid video on social media, the Love Island star claimed she spent weeks single-handedly caring for their daughter Bambi while her fiancé was away from the family home working.
She posted the video just days before announcing the couple would split after five years.
In the video she said: ‘Actually I’ve been solo parenting for two weeks now, mainly because Tommy has just been so busy.

“When he comes home from work and stuff, he’s so incredible and so helpful. I can’t say anything else, he’s such a great dad, but this week I’m really… mom life has been mom life. I just feel like I’m struggling a little bit right now.”
Elsewhere in her new series, the former Love Islander – who has been battling a secret health battle in the villa – said: ‘To be completely honest, what gets me through is the hope and the idea that Tommy and I will get back eventually. together. All I want is for us to work.”
In the documentary, Molly – who recently shut down questions about their divorce – commented on her New Year’s Eve kiss with ex-fiancé Tommy, leading fans to claim the breakup was a publicity stunt.
Her manager Fran called her and explained, “Oh my god, it came out straight away.”
Molly put her head in her hands and said, “No, oh my god, what. Molly-Mae and Tommy kissing on New Year’s Eve…that’s so bad.’
The influencer said earlier in the show: ‘I don’t know what the future holds for us, I’d be lying if I said my love disappeared overnight.’
On Wednesday, Tommy, 25, gave an emotional interview with Men’s health – carefully timed days before the release of Molly-Mae’s documentary – in which he revealed his own drinking problem for the first time and admitted his mental health was ‘in the pan’.

It comes after her ex-fiance Tommy Fury finally detailed the reasons why he and Molly split in August, saying it was because he had become dependent on alcohol following a boxing injury (pictured together)

Tommy explained how his problems started when he underwent reconstructive surgery in January 2024 after breaking all the ligaments in his hand in 2019.

Molly is in a publicity blitz ahead of the release of her Prime Video documentary this week, in which she will give her side of the breakup
Amid rumors that their August 2024 split was a publicity stunt, Tommy spoke candidly about his mental health battle and insisted he never cheated on Molly-Mae – calling the rumors about other women ‘complete and utter nonsense’ mentioned.
“The reason why Molly and I broke up was because I became addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner I wanted to be anymore,” he admitted.
‘It pains me to say it, [but] It’s true, I couldn’t. I liked a beer, liked to drink, and it is what it is. People go through different things in life and we all have our cross to bear. I have mine to bear.”

He stated that his “mental health was in the pan” during his recovery from surgery, which came off the back of “the best year I’ve ever had” in 2023, during which both his career and his life with Molly flourished.
Molly-Mae: Behind It All eps 1-3 releases exclusively on Prime Video on January 17. The last three episodes will be released in the spring of 2025.
