She explained: ‘The name reveal was a tough day for me. I turned off Instagram comments. I was brought back down to earth very quickly from how disgusting this world can be.

“Because we literally knew our first girl was going to be named Bambi, we had gotten so used to the idea that that would be her name and it wasn’t that unusual for us anymore.”

“And I know it’s unusual and unique and it’s not going to be to everyone’s taste, but when we announced it, in my mind it was just beautiful, it’s her, it’s Bambi and it’s a beautiful, amazing, amazing name…

“And then just two seconds after I posted it, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh!

Molly-Mae took to Instagram late last month to share a snap of her baby’s name in light-up letters overlooking her little girl in her crib, having previously admitted some fans would ‘hate’ it.

Molly-Mae shared an adorable image of her daughter snuggled up in her crib next to a Bambi toy, her name lit up in lights on the wall.

She captioned the post: ‘Bambi’ along with a heart emoji.

The name Bambi is of Italian origin and is believed to derive from the word ‘bambino’, which means ‘child’.

In a previous YouTube Q&A, he said: “It’s not made up, it’s not made up at all, I can’t explain it.” It’s just not a name that’s been used before. It’s very, very different and weird and you’re either going to love it or you’re going to hate it.

My name has been chosen since I was a child. It has always been a dream girl name and luckily when I met Tommy and told him the name I always dreamed of wearing, he loved it too.

‘It’s a really unusual and different name, I don’t know anyone else with the name. I haven’t seen any other girl with that name before, it’s just that different.
