It’s a time of change at Anfield and Mohamed Salah has decided to make a big change too by chopping off his signature afro.

Jurgen Klopp’s unforgettable nine-year tenure is coming to an end as the German makes way for new manager Arne Slot.

Salah was with Klopp for seven of those years and became one of the best players in the world under his guidance.

And he has marked the start of a new era by adopting a new look and shaving off his signature afro.

Salah and his Liverpool teammates are on holiday and no holiday post this summer is likely to shock Reds fans more than Salah’s on Friday.

The Egyptian shared on Instagram a photo of himself posing in front of a mirror in what appears to be a hotel room and added the sweat emoji.

And despite the dim light, supporters quickly noticed the radical change in his appearance.

The post had collected more than 300,000 likes and thousands of comments about the hairstyle in one hour.

Speculation is mounting over the Egyptian’s future at the Merseyside club, with Salah’s contract at Anfield set to expire in 2025.

The 31-year-old, who was linked with a mega-money move to Saudi Arabia last summer, was also recently embroiled in a row with outgoing manager Jurgen Klopp, raising further concerns over his future at the club.

Despite this, Salah gave a big hint on his social media last week that he might stay at the club.

Salah said: “We know trophies count and we will do everything we can to make that happen next season. Our fans deserve it and we will fight like hell.”
