Mohamed Salah set a new Champions League record when he scored an excellent goal in Liverpool’s 2-0 win at home to Bologna.
After Alexis Mac Allister had opened the scoring in the first half, Salah beautifully made it 2-0 when he found the net in the 75th minute.
Salah set many records during his time at Liverpool and will surely leave the club at the end of his Reds career as one of the greatest legends of all time.
For example, he has the most Champions League goals for an English club with 42, leading some of the best marksmen the Premier League has ever seen.
He also holds the record for the fastest Champions League hat-trick by a substitute, having scored three times in just six minutes and 12 seconds against Rangers in 2022.

After his hat-trick against Bologna, Salah is now the highest African goalscorer in the history of the Champions League.
Salah has now scored one more goal in the league than Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, who has scored 44.
Former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o, meanwhile, is in third place with 30 goals.
As reported by Squawka, Salah also broke more records, including becoming the first Liverpool player to score in five consecutive Champions League games at Anfield and the first player to score and assist in nine Champions League games for an English club.
The vast majority of Salah’s Champions League goals have come for Liverpool, although he did score twice in the competition for Basel in 2013.

Liverpool have won both of their Champions League matches so far this season, with the victory against Bologna following their success against AC Milan.
The next match in the competition for Arne Slot’s team is an away match against RB Leipzig later this month.
