Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet said he lives in Kansas City, where he enjoys “authentic, real moments” with the people there, rather than the Hollywood crowd.
The 53-year-old actor said life outside of Hollywood has taught him the good and bad sides of it, as he explained in the latest episode of Extended lecture with Graham Bensinger.
Eric said, “I’ve found that it actually highlights the great aspects of our industry, the entertainment industry.”
“And it highlights all the douchebaggery of our business. It amplifies it,” he continued.

Eric was born and raised in Kansas City, he even attended Kansas State University and moved to LA to start his acting career.

Her candid opinion on Hollywood comes just months after podcaster Taylor Strecker called Eric the “worst guest” she’s ever had on her show Taste of Taylor, via Page six.
She revealed her thoughts during the June 25 Amazon Live, where she appeared alongside Paige DeSorbo.
“He’s from Modern Family and he’s this chubby, happy, sweet, funny guy. What else can he be? Mean!” Taylor said.
She said she thought he was going to talk about Modern Family, but he had partnered with Pepto-Bismol and wanted to talk about his new partnership.
As they’re talking, Eric says to her, “So when are we going to talk about Pepto-Bismol?”

“I said, ‘I have hemorrhoids. I’m the queen of diarrhea. I love Pepto-Bismol! We can talk about whatever you want.’ And he said to me — and I quote — ‘Someone didn’t do their homework,'” she said.
She then joked to him, “You’re going to come to my house and call my mom and dad? I don’t think so.”
Taylor said she “fell off her rocker” at Eric and then apologized to him: “I said, ‘I’m sorry. Am I being paid by Pepto-Bismol? The answer is no. So that’s your job to figure out, not mine.'”
