The annual fashion event, which kicked off yesterday, included a runway show from the 28-year-old designer’s new collection,
Weinsanto opened Spring/Summer 2023 womenswear with his show, featuring holograms of K-Pop superstars Lightum.
The designer, a protege of iconic fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, launched his label in 2020.

The 28-year-old designer’s most daring outfit is made of braided hair and a piece of sheer fabric
Other designs in the Weinsanto SS23 collection include nearly sheer jumpsuits, slit mini dresses worn with imposing capes, and even bodysuits worn over corsets
Freshly decked out in bright orange hair, the designer said people were looking for “creativity, freedom, madness and humor” in their outfits right now.
The designer’s clothes were bold and flamboyant, some of them sporting a huge feathered hat, giant tulle and a large fuchsia pink and red heart and floral motif.
Other outfits in the collection were daring, though, as the former ballet dancer turned fashion designer mixed nearly transparent jumpsuits, slit mini dresses worn with imposing capes, and even bodysuits worn over corsets.
The most outrageous part of the runway show was an outfit consisting of several packs of braided hair over sheer fabric, tied around the model’s body.
Like many of his generation, there’s a focus on sustainability – with nearly all of his designs made from excess stock from other brands – and inclusivity.
There were more modest designs in the designer collection, which is a protege of the iconic fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier
Weinsanto’s collection also included the flamboyance of a huge feather hat to a model experimenting with gymnastics

More than 100 brands are featured on the official Paris Fashion Week calendar.
And almost all of them are back to live runway shows after the shift online during the Covid-19 pandemic, including Dior, Chanel, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney and Issey Miyake.
Still, all eyes are on Victoria Beckham, who will make her first appearance at Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday after having previously screened in New York and London.
She will showcase her new luxury collection at the women’s ready-to-wear shows in spring 2023, which will run from September 26 to October 4.
