Model Maddie White, 26, reveals how she effortlessly turned TOTE BAGS into a two-piece ensemble

A model has wowed her fans after effortlessly creating a runway-ready outfit with just two clutches.

Maddie White, who was born in the UK but grew up in Los Angeles, California, wowed viewers when she took to TikTok to share her creative process.

The 26-year-old, who has accumulated more than 3.9 million followers on the platform, ended up wearing a flattering miniskirt and a backless top with a plunging neckline.

And fans quickly flooded the comments section with praise for her stylish creation.

In the clip, Maddie excitedly speaks directly into the camera as she says, ‘Let’s design some more random household items.

‘This time I’m thinking of reusable shopping bags. I found two of the same, so I’m going to try to reuse them.

He pauses before admitting, “I don’t have a plan yet.”

Mercilessly taking a pair of scissors to the tote bags and snipping off the handles, the fashion guru says, “Don’t worry, we’ll use the straps.”

Maddie then begins to cut the bottom of the first bag to create a kind of tube that allows her to slide into the work in progress.

She pulls it up around her waist, but decides she wants to create a pleat to hide the brand’s logo print on the bag.

The model then meticulously secures the material in the form of safety pins before reaching for the previously discarded handles to use as a belt.

He stops to step back and look at his creation before confirming, “I think I’m happy with it.”

But Maddie proves there’s no time to waste and jumps right back into the creative process to make a matching top.

Begin by cutting the bottom of the second bag before holding the material in a bandeau style and deliberating: ‘I was thinking this but I feel like I’ve done this [style].’

She then repositions what remains of the bag to create a scoop-back effect before putting the finishing touches on its elegant design.

Sounding surprised by the end results, Maddie says, ‘I love it. I thought it would be disastrous because I went in without a plan, and I plan everything… I may have to sew it up like this in order to use it.’

The social media sensation then dons a pair of camel boots to ‘maintain the safari colours’ before finishing the look with a pair of sunglasses and an over-the-shoulder bag, but exclaims: ‘I definitely won’t ruin it with a jacket.’

The clip, which she captioned, “I’m literally so obsessed, safari Barbie has entered the chat,” has so far received more than 250,000 likes and commenters praised her creative flair.

One user wrote: ‘HOW? What witchcraft did I just witness???? And why do I love it!!’

Others praised her as a “true icon” adding that she “can make anything look good.”

Last year, Maddie shared an insight into the darker side of life as a model.

According to the star, who posed for big magazines like Harper’s Bazaar Japan, Company and Wylde in her teens, her agents would sign her up for daily Pilates classes at 6 a.m. and talk to trainers to make sure she showed up.

She claimed she was also told not to eat fast food or post about it online, and was once forced to consume only juice for seven days straight.

Maddie also alleged that she once found herself in an inappropriate situation with a photographer who “tried to force her to take off her clothes” while they were alone in her house.

She said that when she told her agent about the trade, they brushed her off and told her to “get used to it.”
