“It’s not easy to be inundated with all these images and sell an idea of beauty,” she added.
Emily added that she has seen some benefits of using Instagram as it has allowed her to control her image in a way that modeling does not.
“It felt like the only time I could control and dictate how I was seen and seen in the world,” she said.

‘When you’re a model, you pass that on to other people. You have no control over your images.’
It comes after Emily opened up about the state of the Me Too movement in a new TikTok video she shared with her 1.8 million followers on Friday.
The supermodel shared how she believed it didn’t make any significant change in the world.
Emily added that she has seen some benefits of using Instagram as it has allowed her to control her image in a way that modeling does not.
The mother of one supported her point of view by explaining that there was a lack of progress because “men fear the consequences” of their actions rather than understand “why they need to change their actions.”
The Gone Girl actress uploaded a one-minute video where she discussed how she felt other changes needed to be made.
‘Me Too hasn’t changed the world. Cancel culture hasn’t changed things,” she began, adding, “All we have now are men who are afraid of the consequences.”
“It felt like the only time I could control and dictate how I was seen and seen in the world,” she said.
The model then gave an example of her own feelings as a mother. “And as a parent, I can tell you that if you want to teach your child something, like not to hit other kids, you don’t want them not to hit other kids because they’re afraid of timeout.”
“You don’t want them hitting other kids because they have empathy and they understand it’s no fun hurting other kids because it’s going to hurt those kids and they don’t want to hurt other kids,” she continued.
The beauty also mentioned in the TikTok: “I think in a post-Me Too world we have a lot of guys who are afraid of getting caught.”
The talented star closed the clip by adding, “I think they’re just afraid of the consequences of their actions.

“They don’t really understand fundamentally why they need to change their actions. So that’s not progress.’
Emily officially filed for divorce from her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, at a New York City courthouse last September.
The two, who have a one-year-old son, Sylvester, tied the knot in 2018 and were married for a total of four years.
The cause of the divorce is said to be due to the fact that Sebastian was unfaithful during the marriage.
