MMA fighter Guilherme Vasconcelos dies aged 38
Brazilian MMA fighter Guilherme Vasconcelos has tragically passed away at the age of 38.
Vasconcelos, who dated Demi Lovato in 2017, competed in both UFC and Bellator during his fighting career.
Guilherme’s uncle, Walter, announced his death. He said: ‘We were looking forward to your visit at Christmas but that won’t happen again.
“Life is fleeting and we woke up to this devastating news. What a time we live in.
‘We pray for you! May God, who can do all things, welcome you into His infinite mercy and comfort all who have always loved you!’

A cause of death is currently unknown, but reports in Brazil claim he died in Los Angeles.
Vasconcelos posted a photo outside a jiu-jitsu studio on Instagram less than 24 hours before his death was announced.
He amassed a 10-6 record with multiple MMA promotions over the course of his seven-year career.
Vasconcelos and Lovato, the singer, were first spotted together in 2017 as they celebrated New Year’s Eve. They also saw a movie together on New Year’s Day.
