MLS reveals its full 2023 schedule, with St Louis SC set to bow on February 25, and LA Galaxy facing champions and rivals LAFC in ‘El Tráfico’ on the opening weekend
The MLS schedule was revealed on Tuesday with opening day games scheduled for February 25.
While their full schedule has been released, all eyes are naturally drawn to the first week.
Nashville SC and New York City FC meet in the opening game at GEODIS Park in Tennessee.
St. Louis City SC will also make its MLS franchise debut in Austin, with its home return against Charlotte on March 4.
LAFC kick off their campaign as reigning MLS Cup winners against the LA Galaxy at the Rose Bowl
Last season’s MLS Cup winners, LAFC, take on rival LA Galaxy in the famous Rose Bowl, in what is sure to be another enchanting ‘El Tráfico’.
Philadelphia will have a chance to avenge their cup final loss to The Black and Gold when the teams meet on September 23.
Other featured games naturally include rivalry week. Both New York teams meet on May 13, just like Atlanta vs. Charlotte.

As the name suggests, the rivalry games will be played from May 13 to May 20.
The addition of St. Louis to the competition will see them join the Western Conference. As a result, Nashville has shifted to the east.
There will also be a three-week sabbatical from July 15 to August 20 due to Leagues Cup matches, a competition made up of MLS and Liga MX.
