The wife of New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor shared threatening messages from fans amid her husband’s recent struggles at the plate.

Through the first eight games of the season, the struggling hitter has a batting average of .032, an on-base percentage of .184 and a slugging percentage of .032.

Although it’s still early in the season, some Mets fans have already started attacking Lindor and attacking his family amid his woes.

Lindor’s wife, Katia Reguero Lindor, this week shared two disturbing private messages she received on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In one post, an account called her husband a “fucking piece of shit” and said they hoped “he and your child would die screaming.”

Another accused her of “not holding your husband accountable” as they called her a “selfish bastard.”

Alongside the screenshots of the DMs, Regeuro Lindor said she could normally overlook the “cowardly” hatred on social media, but claimed users had crossed the line by involving her children in the abuse.

‘Normally I’m all for triggering fragile male egos and I find it comical when I get cowardly hate on social media, but when lowlifes like this bring my husband and kids into the conversation it really crosses a line and it makes me sad Know how mean some people are,” she wrote.

‘How unhappy do you have to be with your own life? Take your anger out somewhere else, please.’

“For every negative comment comes a flood of positive ones,” she added. “This is my message of gratitude to those who have gone out of their way to consistently show their support.”

Lindor showed his appreciation for his wife’s support ahead of the Mets’ loss to the Reds Saturday at Great American Ball Park.

“I love that she always looks out for what’s best for me and what’s best for our family,” Lindor said.

And Cohen supported the idea, writing, “I love that idea. It worked in Philly with (Trea) Turner. Positivity goes a long way.’

Lindor married Reguero in December 2021 after welcoming a daughter, Kalina Zoé, together a year earlier. In June 2023, their second daughter, Amapola Chloé, was born.
