Johnny Damon attended Yankees Old Timers’ Day on Saturday. Fans are convinced the former outfielder was “armed” for the occasion.

Damon and other members of the 2009 championship team, including Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, were honored 15 years after their achievement before the Yankees took on the Rockies at home.

But fans believed Damon showed up to the event drunk, because the X-account from YES Network posted a video of himself doing a spinning jump in the air after being introduced to the audience.

Then he crouched down towards the camera and made a somewhat strange gesture with his fingers.

The YES Network called the clip “One of a kind,” but many fans didn’t find it funny.

‘Unique in its kind HAMMERED’, a said.

“He is a pig” said another one.

‘A turd of a person’ added another fan.

Another fan got even meaner: “Get this drunk out of here,” they said. said.

‘Johnny Damon should be ashamed of himself,’ he claimed another one.

Damon, who played four years with the Red Sox before playing an equal amount of time for the Yankees, attended the reunion of Boston’s 2004 championship team in April without controversy.

He also attended the Yankees’ Old Timers Days in 2014 and 2018.

It’s unknown whether Damon actually showed up drunk to Yankees Old Timers’ Day, but it’s true that he has had problems with alcohol on and off since his retirement in 2012.

He was arrested for driving under the influence in 2021 by the Windemere Police Department in Florida.

And according to an arrest affidavit seen by CNNDamon was nearly four times over the legal limit of alcohol. Two hours after the police pulled him over, his blood alcohol content was 0.30 percent.

He faced drunken driving charges but eventually agreed to a plea deal in which his charges were dropped in exchange for a charity donation and community service, according to TMZ.
