Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning’s first trailer teases an epic last hurray for Tom Cruise as iconic spy Ethan Hunt – and a May 2025 release date

After an extensive delay due to the pandemic and the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike shortly thereafter, the next episode in the Mission: Impossible franchise will finally arrive next year with a May 23, 2025 release date in the US. The trailer for the next film, titled Mission: Impossible – The Final ReckoningOut today (November 11), Tom Cruise stars as Ethan Hunt at the center of a new dangerously tense operation. Initially tipped to get a title Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, the next installment in the film franchise will be a direct sequel to Mission: Impossible – dead reckoning (2023) which is in our list of best Paramount Plus movies. In addition to the return of Tom Cruise as lead actor and producer, Christopher McQuarrie returns as director and co-writer after his involvement in previous films Rogue state (2015) and Fallout (2018).
