Missing British woman is found ‘in good health’ after she was reported missing following street festival in St Lucia

A British tourist who went missing in St. Lucia after attending a street party on the island has been found, according to local police.

Jemima Colenso, 33, is from Somerset and lives on a boat moored at Rodney Bay Marina in the north of the island.

She was reported missing yesterday, after which police said she was last seen at the Gros Islet street party at around 11.26pm on Friday.

In an update this afternoon, the Royal St Lucia Police posted on social media that Ms Colenso ‘has been located and is in good health.’

The police statement continued, “thank you to everyone who helped locate her.”

Police have reportedly launched an extensive search for Ms Colenso and said they were working ’round the clock’ to locate her.

A street vendor who has worked at the popular street party for 25 years expressed shock when the young woman disappeared.

“People come from all over the world to celebrate and we don’t expect them to go missing,” the seller was quoted as saying. The sun as said.

“The police have always done a good job keeping everyone in this city safe and protected.”
