Missing Brit teenager Noiya Sharabi was murdered by Hamas along with her 13-year-old sister and mother, her heartbroken family confirm

Missing British teenager Noiya Sharabi was killed by Hamas along with her 13-year-old sister and her mother, her heartbroken family have confirmed.

Her family told her BBC The 16-year-old’s body was formally identified, adding: ‘Noiya was smart, sensitive, fun and full of life – her smile lit up the room like a beacon.’

Family members added that Noiya “embraced every opportunity to help others, especially those less fortunate than her, and was a gifted student and linguist.

“Most importantly, she was a wonderful granddaughter, nephew and niece. We are devastated that she is gone, but forever grateful that she was here.”

Her British-born mother Lianne and her younger sister Yahel were also killed when Hamas attacked the Be’eri kibbutz in southern Israel where they lived.

The girl’s father, Eli Sharabi, is still missing and feared to have been abducted by Hamas gunmen and taken back to Gaza, as was their uncle Yossi, 53.

The Sharabis, who reportedly visit Britain at least once a year, were all taking shelter in the safe room when the terrorists broke in, according to family members.

In the massacre known as “Israel’s 9-11,” this particular event took place in Kibbutz Be’eri, a mile or two from the Gaza border.

The Sharabis were among more than a hundred people brutally murdered during the October 7 attack.

Disturbing photos of the Sharabi family’s home show it covered in blood, furniture destroyed and their dog killed and left to rot in the living room.

A pool of blood was found staining the floor and walls at the entrance to the safe room of their property – a place that most Israeli homes must protect from attacks.

Another pool of blood lies in the nearby room, adjacent to a child’s wooden bed. It appears that ‘happy, friendly’ 13-year-old Yahel was fatally injured, in circumstances too harrowing to imagine.

The grief-stricken family said in a statement after Yahel’s death was confirmed: ‘Beautiful Yahel. A bundle of unbridled energy and joy, with a sass that you couldn’t help but laugh at and a brain that was as sharp as a hammer.

‘Full of adventure and mischief, we will miss her forever but are grateful for the light she brought into our lives in the too short time she was with us.’

Mother Lianne, 48, first moved to Israel when she was 19, to volunteer at a kibbutz. Relatives in Britain said she visited relatives at least once a year with her daughters and husband.

Earlier this week, Lianne and Yahel Sharabi’s harrowing final messages were released by family members, written as terrorists rampaged through their home.

Lianne sent a panicked text message to her sister-in-law saying she heard members of the terrorist group “shooting and shouting ‘Die Israel'” before pleading with her to call for help.

It is understood Lianne had sent panicked text messages to relatives saying she had heard gunshots outside the house before the horrific massacre.

Lianne called her sister-in-law Nira Sharabi, who previously told MailOnline: ‘The last contact I had with Lianne and the girls was Saturday morning (October 7) around 11am.

‘She sent me a message saying; ‘Nira, I can hear them. They are here at our home. They shoot and shout ”Die Israel”. Please call for help.”

‘I told her; ”Be strong! I’m calling for help!” But ten minutes later I lost contact with her and the girls.

‘Later we heard that Lianne and Yahel had been murdered. But we don’t know what happened to Noiya and her father Eli. All we know is that the terrorists broke into their safe room.

‘Eli had barricaded the door and held the handle, but the terrorists managed to get the door open. When the soldiers went inside, there was a pool of blood outside the safe room door.

‘The terrorists did not burn the house down, but destroyed everything. Everything in the house was broken. They even shot the dog Moka. She was found dead under the living room table. She had bled to death.’

Hamas also broke into Nira’s house and took her husband Yosi hostage. He is still missing.

The Hamas terrorists stormed across the border on October 7 and attacked several kibbutzim in the region, bringing violence and malice to a peaceful community.

They shot randomly, at an air conditioner, at the tires of an ambulance, at a dog that came to greet them. They sat on lawn chairs outside a quiet house and took a water break. Israeli security forces were nowhere to be seen.

The Israeli rescue service later found more than 120 bodies there.
