An Australian tourist who sparked a major search after mysteriously disappearing in Bali earlier this month has reportedly been found alive.
Jackson Parker, 22, from southeast Queensland, had not been heard from since November 8 and had not updated his social media.
A massive search was sparked by his panicked parents as they prepared to fly to Bali to hunt for him.
But before his father could board the ship, he was found, much to the relief of his family and friends.
The news was confirmed by a close family friend.
“Hello everyone…Jackson has been found,” they wrote on social media.
“Just in time for Dad not to get on the plane to Bali!”
Earlier, his family had issued an urgent appeal to all tourists in Bali to help find their son, claiming it was “extremely strange” not to be contacted.

“We are trying to find a missing Australian (our son) and hope some of you can share this message and information with everyone in Bali in the tourism industry, hotels, bars, hostels, tourism organizations, authorities and everyone you know,” says he. father Roly Parker posted a message on the Bali expats Facebook group.
‘Jackson Parker has been missing since November 8 and his family are desperate to find him.’
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) said Mr Parker boarded a flight to Bali on October 30.
Mr Parker’s visa application stated that he was booked to stay at Premium Villas Seminyak in the island’s capital, Denpasar, but he did not check into the property and has not been heard from since.
It is unclear why he has not been in contact with his family.
