Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico have announced that they have secretly tied the knot after claiming to have been in a “private” relationship for two years.
Mariana Varela, 26, from Argentina, and Fabiola Valentín, 22, from Puerto Rico, first met in 2020 when they represented their provinces in the Miss Grand International competition.
Before sharing their surprising news on Instagram, the newlyweds – who never confirmed they were dating – only talked about their “friendship” on social media.
Announcing that they had tied the knot, both models shared the same Reel with their combined Instagram following of 233,000.
In the 30-second video, the couple began sharing clips from their travels, including a clip of them cuddling on Jobos Beach in Puerto Rico and enjoying a romantic boat trip in Mexico.

The video ends with the couple sharing a kiss outside the Marriage Bureau in San Juan, where they tied the knot on October 28.
Where Fabiola opted for a white blazer dress with fringed skirt, her new wife Mariana wore a white jacket and black trousers for the occasion.
The newlyweds captioned the clip: “After we decided to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors for them on a special day.”
The shared post has racked up more than 128,000 “likes” since it was posted earlier this week, and fans were quick to congratulate the couple on their happy news.

Before this week, the couple seemed to have only hinted at their romance on social media.
Fabiola wished her now-wife a happy birthday earlier this year, writing: ‘Thank you for making me part of your life and complicit in your happiness.
“You are an invaluable treasure and I hope to keep our friendship forever.”
Fabiola represented Argentina in the 2019 Miss Universe competition before reaching the Top 10 of Miss Grand International 2020.
