Miryotanog Shrine puzzle solution

Miryotanog Shrine is a ‘Proving Grounds’ combat shrine, meaning you’ll be stripped of your gear and armor as soon as you enter. You must use the weapons and tools you find, as well as your skills, to get past aggressive structures.

The word “Lure” in the name of the puzzle suggests that you must lure the Constructs into traps to defeat them. We found it easier to just fight them head on.

Link goes down the stairs in the Miryotanog Shrine to a small room with three weapons leaning against the left wall

1. Go down a short flight of stairs. You will find one on the left side of the room long sticka thick stickAn old wooden bowand a 5 pack of arrows. Pick up all that.

2. Go forward down a ramp to the next room. You’ll see three overlapping laser beams in your path, as well as some higher-level constructions ahead. Ignore the Constructs for now and jump (carefully) over the first two laser beams. However, do not go below the third laser beam just yet.

3. To the left of the path of the third laser beam are two wooden boxes. Smash it with your thick stick and take the three fire fruits hidden behind it.

4. Go back to the third laser beam and crouch to get under it. Go to the next room, a large room full of ramps, platforms, bridges and – you guessed it – patrolling structures.

Holding a thick stick at his side, Link runs into the main chamber of the Miryotanog Shrine, which is full of ramps, platforms, and bridges guarded by structures.

5. Turn left and enter the ramp. Jump over the laser beam. There are two bomb barrels ahead, between you and a patrolling Construct on a platform to your right. Don’t hit them yet.

6. There are also two stones near the barrels. Merge your stick weapons to these rocks to make a better weapon.

7. Aim one of your arrows at the Construct on the platform ahead. This will cause all the constructions in the room, including this one, to come and attack you. Back up and hit the bomb barrels with arrows to take out the advancing constructions. Just don’t get caught in the fire!

Two constructs on their way to attack Link are incinerated by a Flame Emitter Zonai device hidden behind a laser beam under a stone archway in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Miryotanog Shrine

8. Speaking of flames to avoid, note that there is a Zonai flame emitter (and another laser beam) in the path below the platform the first Construct had stood on. As the other constructions come towards you, they go through that path and get hit with a ton of fire damage. If you stand back and play defensively, the constructs’ health bars should be pretty depleted by the time they reach you.

9. Use your weapons and wits to defeat the Constructs, picking up their superior weapons along the way.

10. Once you are out of battle, jump over the laser beam and flame emitter. Continue along the raised path to the back of the room.

11. You’ll come across some wooden boxes that you can break (although we didn’t find anything in them), plus some spines you can Merge to a weapon if needed. There may still be one Construct left, patrolling in front of the barred door at the back of this room (if you haven’t provoked him into a fight with your explosive antics before).

12. Once you defeat all the constructions, you will automatically get your armor and weapons back. The barred door at the back of this room opens to reveal the shrine’s only chest (which contains a Captain IV Knife). Grab that, then go to the sigil to get the Light of blessing.
