A 14-year-old girl missing for more than a week in southeast Queensland has been found safe.

The young girl disappeared from her home on Rhodes Street in Loganlea, about 30km south-east of Brisbane, at around 2pm on November 21.

Queensland Police issued a plea for public assistance on Saturday after 11 days passed without the girl being found.

Fortunately, she was found in the area on Sunday.

'The girl has been found safe and sound. Thanked the media and the public for their assistance,” police said in a statement.

Family and police were concerned for the teen's safety because of her young age.

It was believed she could have used public transport to travel around Logan or to Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.
