Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson earns NFL OPOY while Nick Bosa is league DPOY after a dominant season with the San Francisco 49ers.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was named the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year at the NFL honors night in Phoenix.
The star receiver had another stellar year, just his second in the league, despite the Vikes’ wild card weekend exit.
Jefferson thanked God as he received the award. He was nominated along with Super Bowl quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes, and his colleague, pass catcher Tyreek Hill.
The former LSU star led the NFL in receiving yards with 1,809, 99 more than second-ranked Hill. He had eight touchdowns and 128 receptions in 17 games.
As for Defensive Player of the Year, San Francisco 49ers running back Nick Bosa took the award.
He had a phenomenal season for the fierce front of the Niners. He was ahead of Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones and Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons.
Bosa racked up a league-high 18.5 sacks in 16 games along with 48 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles.
