Minnesota Vikings ruthlessly cut a player on his birthday… and their fans are all predicting the same thing
Tight end Nick Muse’s birthday was ruined by the Vikings on Monday when they cut him from the team.
Muse, 26, was wished X a happy birthday by the franchise at 8:26.
But hours later he was ruthlessly released as the Vikings announced he was circumcised at 4:15 p.m.
Some fans felt the move was harsh on his birthday, with many also predicting it was done to make room for quarterback Daniel Jones.
“Daniel Jones is coming,” someone wrote on X.

Many Vikings fans believed that Muse was released to make room on the roster for Daniel Jones
“DANNY DIMES,” a second exclaimed.
“Oh, so we sign that Daniel Jones got it,” said a third.
Muse, a 2022 seventh-round pick out of South Carolina, was in his third season with the Vikings and had played in 15 games for the franchise.
Jones, who was released by the Giants last week after being benched and demoted to the team’s fourth-string quarterback, has reportedly attracted a lot of interest as a new free agent.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefterthe Vikings and Ravens are two of the teams most likely to land the ex-Giant.
Both teams are in the running, with Sam Darnold having a career year for Minnesota and MVP candidate Lamar Jackson leading Baltimore, though both could benefit from additional insurance at the position as they prepare for projected spots in the postseason.
The Vikings are 9-2 after beating the Bears in overtime last weekend, while the Ravens are 7-4 heading into a Monday night matchup against the Chargers.
Schefter reported that Jones likely preferred to finish the year on a team contending for the postseason.
In the meantime, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has also mentioned the 49ers and Raiders as potential landing spots.
