Red Rose Travel, a bus company from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, branded Millwall supporters ‘s***houses’ for the damage to one of the coaches.

“You have to love a good game of football and the passion the fans show,” they began in a Facebook post.

“I mean take Millwall FC tonight, probably lost millions tonight by failing to make the playoffs and the Premier League, but no matter, they can destroy the away fans’ coaches and risk injuring the families on board … Well done lads…. You have achieved jack s*** apart from costing an innocent company ££££’s… For which…. f# y’all!!!!! Bunch of assholes….”

Other fans shared photos and videos from aboard the targeted bus, with one video showing a female fan huddled under her seat.

Blackburn fan Chris shared a photo from inside the coach with the window next to him completely shattered.

Police soon attempted to place a barrier between the coach and Millwall supporters who left the game on foot.

There was anger from Millwall fans that Blackburn fans had tried to goad them into the final stages by singing to them ‘I’m forever blowing bubbles’, a famous chant by their London rivals, West Ham.
