Millionaire influencer Sarah’s Day is slammed for her condescending comments about primary school teachers as she lives a beautiful life in a mansion: ‘What an idiot’

Millionaire influencer Sarah Stevenson, who frequents Sarah’s Day online, has been criticized by working mothers for comments she made about being a primary school teacher and placing children in childcare.

The lifestyle vlogger, 31, who recently announced she is pregnant with her third child, took to Instagram last Wednesday to thank her fans for all their support, which has allowed her to “be what I always wanted: a stay-at-home mom.”

She said that without her 1.2 million followers, she “would probably have been an elementary school teacher and had to put my kids in daycare,” sparking backlash among working mothers who rudely disapproved of Sarah on Reddit.

The YouTube star said in her lengthy post: “Since having two kids, I’ve gotten so much better at balancing life and work, saying no to opportunities and giving myself time to just enjoy motherhood.”

She went on to “humbly brag” about being able to set up her family “with businesses, passive income streams, and systems for work-life balance.”

‘I just wanted to thank you for supporting me, my channel and my projects. Without you, I probably would have been a teacher and had to take my kids to daycare as soon as my maternity leave was over,” she added.

Sarah concluded her message to fans by saying she was so ‘lucky’ to be able to pursue her dream of being a ‘stay at home mum’.

Some of the millionaire influencer’s followers took offense to the post and shared it on Reddit, where they brutally spray-painted Sarah for her nonsensical comments.

“This makes me even angrier?” one wrote, while the other said, “This. That’s what bothers me about this message. Demonizing placing children in childcare.’

A third added: ‘The way she makes life as a primary school teacher with children in childcare sound like some kind of failure! Um.”

“Thank God HER kids don’t have to go to daycare, unlike the rest of us farmers,” another commented.

Someone else wrote: ‘Without you funding me I would have had to behave like the rest of you poor people.’ What an idiot.’

‘Thank God poor Sarah didn’t become a teacher and her poor children in daycare. Only poor people need a job and have to take their kids to daycare,” wrote yet another.

Despite the outpouring of online hate Sarah received for the post, the Outspoken podcast pointed out that the influencer’s intent was likely not to be “offensive to teachers.”

Presenters Amy, Sophie and Kate Taeuber said they believe Sarah “put her own experience at the center” of her message without realizing how it might be perceived by her followers.

“To give some background, in her early days at YouTube, she started out as an elementary school teacher and eventually left college to pursue her career as an influencer,” they said.

“So for her it would have been a step back to be a teacher and not follow her dream. She tried to concentrate on it, but I don’t think she was aware of how it came across to people who were teachers.”

Ny Breaking Australia has contacted Sarah for comment.

Sarah, who is about to welcome her third child into the world with husband Kurt Tilse, pursued a full-time career as an influencer in early 2010 and has since found fame as a lifestyle and fitness vlogger.

Despite gaining a loyal following thanks to her helpful tips and tricks on fitness, health and wellbeing, Sarah has geared her content more towards mums since welcoming her children Fox Ocean, five, and Malakai Koa, two.

In the past months she has faced a wave of controversy as she came under fire for bizarre antics such as scolding followers who corrected her Loewe pronunciation while showing off her expensive handbags from the Spanish luxury fashion house.

She also shared a video earlier this year of herself eating a full three-course dinner at a local Italian restaurant in the confines of her Range Rover Sport, which ranges from $143,600 to $197,700.

Sarah once again faced backlash from fans who accused her of wasting police time and resources when she reported theft after someone stole her $660 Prada glasses, prompting the influencer to buy new ones a few days later .
