Millie Mackintosh has revealed she had a breast augmentation three months ago after being accused of a “secret boob job” by vicious trolls.
The Made In Chelsea star, 33, has opened up for the first time about why she decided to have the procedure, saying she was ‘thrilled’ with the results.
She insisted she had “no intention” of hiding the fact that she had breast augmentation surgery, speaking about the surgery in an open letter. Thank you.
Breast augmentation, also known as a boob job, involves placing implants in the breasts to make them bigger or change their shape.
Millie said she had been accused of “secretly” undergoing the procedure by “cruel” trolls, who claimed they had “driven her out” with their harsh remarks.

Delighted: The Made In Chelsea star, 33, has opened up for the first time about why she decided to have the procedure, saying she is ‘thrilled’ with the results
She said, “I had no illusions that it would go unnoticed, and I had no intention of hiding the choice I had made, with the full support of my family and after much research.”
Being in the public eye is a double-edged sword! Whichever approach I take – honest or secretive (and getting ripped off, of course) – someone will always have something to say,” she continued.
“Personally, I find it more harmful to have adjustments/procedures and then lie and pretend that the results are achievable naturally.”
Millie said she felt it was important to address the speculation about whether she had undergone an improvement, rather than “hiding” from it.
She gushed that she’s thrilled with the results, saying she didn’t want to hide how happy she is with her “extremely well-informed” decision.
Speaking about why she wanted the enhancement, Millie said it helped her reconnect with herself before breastfeeding her two children — Sienna, two, and Aurelia, 18 months, who she shares with husband Hugo Taylor.
She said she had been self-conscious about her breasts for a long time and always promised herself that she would get a breast augmentation before deciding it was the right time to do so after having her children.
Millie said she had the surgery to boost her confidence and said she feels like herself again after having the procedure earlier this year.

The reality TV star also shared how she had received some “cruel” comments from social media trolls and admitted that the hurtful messages had affected her.
She also berated people for claiming she is not a “feminist” for her decision to have cosmetic surgery, arguing that feminism should be about agency.
In the UK, breast implants are not usually available on the NHS, apart from some special circumstances, for example if someone has very uneven breasts.
Breast augmentation surgery usually costs between £3,500 and £8,000 in the UK, not including the cost of consultations or aftercare, according to the health service.
Her surgery comes after Millie was seven months sober in March after going alcohol-free to improve her mental health.
To mark the milestone, Millie took to Instagram to share that she made the decision last year to improve her “anxiety levels” as they had gotten “really high.”
During an Instagram Q&A on Wednesday, Millie answered the question “what made you go alcohol free?”
She recorded her response and shared: ‘So I’ve been alcohol-free for seven months now.
And it was a decision I made because I wanted to improve my mental health and especially my anxiety levels which were really high especially after the second baby came out of lockdown.
“So I stopped drinking in August and honestly it has had so many positive changes.

Mental health: To mark the milestone, Millie took to Instagram to share that she made the decision last year to improve her ‘anxiety levels’ as they had become ‘really high’
“Yes, it was hard at first. I did find it difficult socially and at social events because it’s a habit when you’re used to having a drink. So it felt a little weird and a little uncomfortable, but I got past that in month three.
“And honestly, the benefits just outweigh all that and it makes it so worth it and I feel better every day.”
Speaking out about her decision last August, she told followers at the time: “I had a breakthrough in therapy and decided to stop drinking alcohol, I didn’t want to admit it, but it’s a huge trigger for my anxiety.
“It’s directly having a negative effect on my mental health and right now I’m focused on feeling my best, finding happiness in my life and not trying to escape it,” she wrote.
